TRAIN WITH KATE

I've always had a passion for fitness so after having my 3 boys decided to train as a Level 3 personal trainer and have never looked back. 

Once qualified I set up Raise the Bar Bootcamps with my business partner Becky, an outdoor bootcamp where all abilities can train in strength and endurance. 

I work with a broad range of clients who are looking to improve their health and fitness and I specialise in helping runners which is my main passion. 

From running your first 5k up to ultra marathons I can provide you with coaching plans that will get you to that start line, injury free and strong. 

With my one to one coaching I can help your overcome any past barriers that have prevented you from achiveing your goals.

RUNNING COACH

If you're looking to start running or want to improve your performance then having a coach will make this so much easier!

Generic plans do not account for your lifestyle, fitness level or time and as a result often end in injury and failure to achieve your goal.

I can provide you with a bespoke running plan that will work for you. Along with weekly check ins you will be able gain knowledge from my running experience and overcome any barriers that have previously encountered and become a faster, stronger and happier runner!

RUNNERS STRENGTH TRAINING

Often overlooked by runners this is a key part of your training.

Runners who strength train not only become faster they also have less injuries which allows them to keep running as they get older!

Us runners often find it hard to fit in anything other than running ( and sometimes don't want to!!)  but I can help you find a way to train smart and benefit from the gains that lifting weights will give you.

PERSONAL TRAINING

If you struggle to be consistent in a gym or group class this is the perfect option for you. With one to one training we can work together to do the things you enjoy, whilst becoming fitter and healthier. 

Lifting weights especially as we get older is so important but it it can be intimidating in a gym environment. By working together I will help you to gain confidence and lift with correct form preventing injury. 

RAISE THE BAR BOOTCAMPS

If you enjoy lifting weights whilst working on your cardio, this is the class for you!
Based in Sonning Common and Caversham we run classes 6 days a week. You will come away feeling energised, stronger and you will have made some fantastic friends along the way!

Kate has created two running programs for me now, training for my first ultra and then a half marathon I would and have recommended her to others.
The personalised plan was created to fit in with my existing training (and work commitments) and Kate was available to answer questions or help if some rescheduling needed to take place.
She is incredibly knowledgeable, approachable and super enthusiastic, which really helps and her weekly check ins help with accountability and allow you to ask questions and tweak the program if need be.

After being inspired by Kate’s personal passion of running, she offered to create me a programme for a Half-Marathon.
