As well as being a certified Level 3 personal trainer, Dan is qualified in instructing Kettlebells and is an Advanced Boxercise Instructor.

WHAT I DO

Find enjoyment in your training

For training to work, it has to be consistent, and for it to be consistent, it has to be something you enjoy.  Whatever your reason to look into a personal trainer I'll help you get to where you want, making sessions enjoyable and engaging and ensuring you find some joy in the process.

STRENGTH TRAINING

Building strength and confidence using a mixture of Barbells, Dumbbells, Kettlebells and Body-weight movements.

GROUP FITNESS

Small private group sessions tailored for your requirements.  You can join one of my established classes in Caversham or I can run a private class for your friends, neighbourhood or sports club.

FLEXIBILITY TRAINING

Increasing mobility helps improve performance and decrease risk of injury. 
I will work with you in your movement to help you improve range of motion.

BOXERCISE

A great mix of cardio and strength and great for those who don't like 'traditional' training.  Improves balance and co-ordination and a fantastic stress reliever!

I’ve worked with Dan for a number of years now and he really knows his stuff. I do triathlons and we worked strengthening all the the areas needed for that, including some great core work too. All the sessions were very challenging and also enjoyable ( he says with gritted teeth) 🤣🤣  because let’s be honest deadlifting more than your body weight, at the time is really tough but afterwards you feel bloody great.

I'm dreadful at motivating myself (if I'm in a group I hide at the back and give up as soon as the going gets tough!), so working with Dan has done wonders for me learning how much I can really push myself when there isn't anyone else to hide behind! We're focussing on strength training and cardio fitness (including my deep-rooted hatred of running), and I'm really pleased with how far I've come. The sessions are focussed but varied, which helps to keep me motivated - a good thing, as Dan doesn't let you rest on your laurels!

I have been training with Dan for around 9 months now. Starting as an overweight and arthritic 55 year old. Mobility was rubbish and I hadn't trained for 15 years. Now i see Dan 2 x per week we box, lift weights, squat and lunge. I have even rejoined a gym. If you need a gentle push to get you back into exercise then certainly give Dan a go.

I've been running for some time and this Summer was preparing to do some triathlons.  I'd never done gym work before so was a complete novice to it. My aim was to build more core stability and base strength over the winter to get ready for a change in sport.  It was great working with Dan.
