YOUTH TRAINING

Youth strength and conditioning specialist coach

Youth strength and fitness training requires specialist qualifications to ensure a trainer is able to understand, assess and safely train children, teenagers and young adults.

Understanding the differences in children as they develop, and the different loads their bodies face as they adapt and train is extremely important.

We follow a child centred approach, be it for improving general fitness, agility, power and strength or a sports specific programme as they mature working in conjunction with sports or school coaches to help aid development and physical literacy.

We also specialise in helping teenagers, learn to lift free weights safely, so that when they enter a gym environment, or train at home, you can ensure they are doing so with safe movement and confidence.

My son Jenson (12 years) has been working with Dan for the last few months to build his strength for his progression to the next class in his karting career. Dan has assessed and focused Jenson on the areas of strength he needs for his sport, and we have seen a real difference in his ability to manage these heavier karts and in his endurance on the track. Dan understands children very well and has made the sessions fun and engaging and Jenson looks forward to his sessions with Dan every week. I would highly recommend Dan.

Dan is just brilliant! He has been working with my son, now 16, teaching him how to lift weights safely and keeping him motivated with training.

I’m now happy that when he goes to the gym he knows what he’s doing and is safe.

I highly recommend Dan if your child is starting to lift weights and you want assurance that they’re capable and safe.
